Volunteers are the heart of Saskatoon Dog Rescue!
Did you know that we are run by a volunteer board of directors? In addition to our board, we require tons of volunteers to help us keep things running smoothly. We are looking for responsible, reliable, dog-loving volunteers to assist us with a variety of different jobs.

Volunteer Opportunities
Dog sitting One of our most popular dog-related volunteering opportunities... looking after the foster pups when the foster parents are away or busy! If you love dogs, but aren't quite ready to foster or adopt just yet, dog sitting is perfect for you! (*Must be within 40km of Saskatoon to dog sit).
Dog transport (within the city) We are always looking for help getting dogs to medical appointments, daycare, fundraising events, etc. If you're looking for some extra company on your daily errands, let us know!
Dog transport (within the province) We often get requests to take in dogs from across Saskatchewan. If you travel across the province frequently, would you consider carpooling with a furry companion?
Other Transport Some of our transportation needs are not directly related with fosters in care, such as medical supply runs, donations and supply pick up/drop off.
Fundraising Events Are you a social butterfly? We hold plenty fundraising events throughout the year and could use your help! This includes things like running our Saskatoon Food Truck Wars booth, bottle drives with Sarcan, selling food orders, or tickets to sports games! All of the opportunities will be posted in our Volunteer Facebook group.
Bartending If you have experience in basic bartending (no special skills required), bartending at weddings, holiday parties, corporate and private events may be a great place for you! These can be HUGE money makers for our rescue (all the tips for the puppers!). No experience is necessary! All of these opportunities are offered through our exclusive SDR Bartending Facebook group.
Adoption Events To help our furry friends get adopted, we hold various adoption events. If you like people and are looking for an extra puppy fix. this would be a great opportunity for you!
