Meet Parsnip (aka Snippy, Princess Pippy, and Cookie)!

Parsnip is an energetic, goofy, happy little girl who loves to play and hop around. Snippy loves ALL toys that crinkle or squeak. She loves to be outside as long as her foster humans or other dogs are out with her to play. She is a very energetic and sweet little tripod who would make a great addition to a family with other dogs to play with. She is fairly independent but also loves to be around other dogs, cats, and especially the kids in her foster home. She has already been around kids of all ages and does great with gentle reminders as she is still in her puppy stage.

Parsnip has had her front left leg amputated as she was born with leg and paw deformities. She has not worked on leash training yet, as walks will likely not be her thing; it’s hard to do so with only one front leg. But this doesn’t slow her down for play time in the yard. Stairs are her only issue right now as they’re quite intimidating to her. She does very well with with the 3 steps into the back yard, but anything bigger she hasn’t been able to do; so a home without lots of stairs would be best.

She is doing very well at ‘sit’ and ‘down’ with gentle reminders. She is a very quiet and well mannered little girl who has shown how strong and resilient she is right from the start ❤️
