Odie is a small-to-medium sized dog who is about a year old. He has an easygoing, loving nature and wins over everyone he meets. Odie is incredibly affectionate and people-oriented. He loves being close to his humans—whether he’s curled up for a nap or quietly following you around the house to “help” with whatever you’re doing. He has a naturally calm personality with a fun, playful side that comes out once he feels comfortable.

Odie is currently working on leash training, basic commands, and is house trained. He is also working on kennel training. The kennel isn’t his favourite place yet but continues to make progress. He has shown a bit of separation anxiety, but with routine and positive training, he’s improving every day.

Odie gets along well with his foster brother, a larger dog with a calm personality. He does best with laid-back canine companions and gets overwhelmed by very high-energy dogs. He has met several dogs and interacted positively with them.

Odie has had one brief introduction to a cat, which was not a positive experience. With time, patience, and proper introductions, coexistence may be possible, but it would require commitment and slow acclimation.

Odie has responded well to the young children he has met, remaining calm, gentle, and happy to receive cuddles and pets. He would thrive in a home with children and/or a calm dog to share playtime and companionship.
