Kodiak, a.k.a. the Kodi-Bear, is a big (figuratively) softy who just wants to be a part of a pack. Whether that means hanging out with you or being chased by other furry buddies, he really just wants to be a part of it.

When Kodi came to us, he had some bumps and bruises and was a bit timid around new faces, but a friendly ear scratch or a playful gesture is all it takes for him to open right up. Through 7 days of quarantine, he seemed pretty happy with the attention of a friendly human, but since being introduced to a couple of other dogs, he has REALLY broken out his playful personality. When he doesn't have a furry friend to chase him, Kodiak just likes to chill out; he'll find a nice place on the floor around your feet or somewhere soft to lay down, but if you offer up your lap, he'll take it in an instant.

He's been pretty great in a crate; he sleeps through the night, and while he may cry a little bit in the first couple of days, he's much calmer once he's gotten used to his surroundings and developed a routine. He's adjusted to periods in the morning, afternoon, and evening after a couple of days. He's also been pretty good on a leash, though in new environments, he prefers to follow the lead of someone he trusts.
