FROM THE FOSTER HOME
Jellybean (aka Jelly) is a sweet, compact Pitty mix who’s approximately 2 years old and weighs about 40 lbs. She came into care with her eight puppies when they were just 4 days old, and while motherhood didn’t come naturally at first, Jelly showed incredible patience and trust with her foster. With gentle support, she did what she needed to do—and was very happy when her mom duties were officially over!
Now that her pups are older, Jelly is enjoying life again and showing her playful side. She loves to chase and play with her puppies and absolutely adores the resident dogs in her foster home who are very calm and laid back. She’s especially cuddly and playful with the younger dog, often wrestling and snuggling, and she’s sweet and respectful of the senior dog as well.
Jelly has recently met a few new dogs outside of her foster home and would benefit from slow, respectful introductions. She can be a bit nervous and does not like high-energy dogs or dogs that get in her face and prefers calm, polite canine interactions. She has not been tested with cats.
Jelly is a total people dog and absolutely loves kids. She’s affectionate, gentle, and firmly believes she’s a lap dog. In the home, she’s calm and laid back—happy to curl up on the couch, relax on a dog bed, or chew on a bone. She loves toys (especially squeaky ones) and takes her job of “removing the squeaker” very seriously.
She eats in her crate and understands “go in your bed,” though she prefers to sleep wherever she’s most comfortable at night. Jelly is trusted loose in the house when her foster is away and is not destructive at all—she mostly just hangs out on the couch. She enjoys treats and takes them very gently, always giving them a careful sniff first to make sure they meet her standards.
Jelly is also a great traveler and loves going for car rides. With her sweet nature, calm demeanor, and affectionate personality, Jelly is ready to leave mom life behind and find a home where she can soak up all the love, cuddles, and comfort she deserves.
