Meet Baloo!

Baloo is currently thriving in his foster home where he adores playing with his foster brother. He would love a dog friend in the home. He's a smart boy, too! Baloo knows how to wait patiently before he eats his food, knows how to sit and shake a paw, and is learning loose leash walking. He doesn’t resource guard food or toys, doesn't counter surf, and is a very mellow and chill pup that loves to be close by.

He drinks a lot of water, so he does need frequent potty breaks, and when he has to go out during the night, he knows to gently wake you up. Baloo has psychogenic polydipsia, meaning he has a tendency to drink a lot of water and therefore urinate more than a typical dog his age. This may improve in time but it is unknown at this point.

Baloo is still working on his manners like a normal pup—his excitement sometimes leads to jumping and nipping, but he’s making steady progress and responds well to consistent guidance. He would thrive in a home where someone is around often to help him stay on his bathroom schedule and continue building on his good habits.
