All the pups are working on house training. These are rather large pups, especially for the size of their mom. They are all pretty rambunctious and on the go!

Piper

From the foster home:

Piper has been a joy to have around. She was shy at first, but once she adjusted, she became a firecracker. She loves to cuddle and give kisses, and snores when she sleeps. She’s food oriented and learns easily when trained but does not enjoy leash walking at all unless incentivized. She gets along well with all animals, and loves being able to run around.

Opie

From the foster home:

Opie is a sweet, loving puppy who is always waiting to shower the people near him with love. He loves wagging his tail, playing with his toys, and sitting in the sun for hours. He is house trained and understands commands like yes, no, sit, fetch, and come. He loves walking outdoors on his leash and is crate/kennel trained as well. Because Opie was rescued from the North, where he endured extreme cold temperatures, he can come across a bit timid when introduced to a new environment. But with a little love and patience he soon warms up to new people and environments. He enjoys car rides, loves to play around after his meals, and is always ready for a belly rub (even at 3 in the morning). Opie has been introduced to a couple of dogs during his foster care and loves their company.

Molly

From the foster home:

Molly is highly motivated by food but is so smart and learns tricks very quickly! She has mastered sit and shake a paw. Working on ‘kennel’, leave it, and slowly getting better at fetch. She loves to cuddle on the couch and sniff all new smells when out for walks but more so, loves to be running in an open space off leash! She likes to chew on shoes, RIP my shoes, and is still counter surfing, as well as loses her manners in the morning and that is when she is more likely to jump up and be a bit mouthy. She has met been around kids as young as 3, but only been alone with kids 8 or older. She loves to play with other puppies, I have never seen her show aggression. Has briefly met a few cats, but the cats did not like her. Molly rarely barks, sleeps in her kennel at night, travels amazingly in her kennel- does not make a peep and also travels in the vehicle well without the kennel.

Chewie

Sweet, soft and playful Chewie is steadily gaining more confidence as she grows. The vet says she is at least 6 months old, and approximately 25 lbs. She will likely mature to be a medium sized dog. She is good with cats and other dogs. Loves being near her people and is respectful of space. She likes to talk but is not loud or rude. Chewie is working hard on her house training, walks well on a leash and sleeps quietly on her mat during the night. She will make a great companion!

Rex

From the foster home:

Rex is a year and a half old sweet angel. He loves attention, giving kisses, and cuddling up to whoever is petting him. When he's had enough, he'll go find a place to lay down close enough that he can still see you. Rex's favourite activities are walks, eating, and playing with his toys. He would be happy if you never had to leave him alone, especially if he got to go on walks all day long! Rex would do very well in an active home. Rex is not a fan of the kennel and is very slowly getting less anxious when inside. When his fosters go to work, he sleeps his day away on the couch next to the front window so he can check for them to come home. Rex loves meeting dogs on walks, although he hasn't figured out that lunging and barking are not the way to show he just wants to make friends and play. He walks great on a leash with only a bit of pulling and he's fully house trained. We've been told Rex doesn't get along with cats. He hasn't been around kids but seems interested in them when we pass them on the sidewalk. Rex takes time to trust people but once he does, he is the sweetest, silliest, most loyal boy who will make someone very happy.

Turk

Hi! I’m Turk and I am looking for my forever family! Let me tell you a little about myself. I love going for walks, as many as you’re willing to take! Though my foster family has maxed me out at 2-3/day. Inside I’m happy to play with my toys and nap. I also love humans and have played with children as young as 9 without issue. Due to my past, I am not a huge fan of other dogs, and I’m looking for a family who’s willing to work on my socialization. Right now, when I see other dogs on walks, I make sure to let them know to stay away! I would also do best in a house without cats as I like to chase them. Other than that, I’m very well behaved and sleep throughout the night, walk well on a leash and travel well in the car. I’m hard at work learning the rules of the house and basic commands. I’m looking for a family who can exercise me daily and continue to work on my manners (I’m learning not to jump on people!) and proper introductions to other dogs.

All in all, I’d say I’m pretty low maintenance. As long as I can get out of the house a handful of times a day, I am a very happy boy! Do I sound like the perfect fit for your family? If so, I would love to meet you!!

Shiloh

From the foster home:

Introducing the sweetest velvet hippo, Shiloh. He may look intimidating, but he is really just a big love muffin. Despite being a larger dog, Shiloh still likes to believe he is a lapdog, and wants to be with you, loving you and getting all the pets & attention he possibly can. This big boy is a sweetheart who needs a lot of attention, including, playing, multiple walks per day, and lots and lots of belly rubs. After that he usually is just a lump on the couch, napping the day away. Shiloh is a very smart boy and already knows "Sit", and "No". He is house trained, and is very good at letting his humans know, by sitting by the door, patiently.

One thing Shiloh hasn't figured out yet is his kennel. Currently he uses his fosters small on-suite as his safe place to sleep while his fosters try to positively associate him with the kennel. He sleeps well throughout the night; his only crux being chewing on his blankets. Otherwise, Shiloh is a very good boy, who hardly barks, is great with other people and not overly protective, and good with cats.

Shiloh hasn’t had the opportunity to be around too many other dogs yet but, on his walks, he doesn't seem aggressive towards other dogs, just excited. He will likely require slow and proper introduction to other pets. Lastly, Shiloh, like all dogs, has some adorable little quirks that make him such a special boy, such as, he grunts when he is happy, he snores when he's asleep, like a human, and he LOVES to eat snow! Shiloh would be a great addition to any family that is interested in being active and is ready for the extraordinary love that Shiloh has to give! ❤

Nova

From the foster home:

Miss Nova is a wonderful, bright soul. She came to us from a family that loved her, and you can tell. Her current foster also fostered her mum and adopted her sister and feels they all have similar traits. They love to a fault, running is their favourite, can be skittish of men at first and will give you a snuggle if you need it. Nova loves to play catch and tug rope. Having grown up a ‘lone pup’ it took her a little while to learn that her fur sisters we here to play with her. Once she figured it out, she plays every moment she can. She is kennel trained but prefers to be out. As a very social girl, she like to be where you are. She loves trips to the dog park (she makes good use of the open space) and would be an excellent running partner with a bit of training. She can be nervous around new people but once she’s comfortable she become best friends. She is good with children but she can be like a bull in a china shop so toddlers may get toppled. Nova previously lived with a cat and had a love/chase relationship. She would do well in an active household willing to exercise her daily and will give lots of love and cuddles in return.

Snooki

From the foster home:

Snooki is a very loveable girl, she whines loud when she is excited and always looks like she is smiling at you. She is house trained and sleeps in her kennel at night, she does not like anyone else around her food, so she eats by herself. When her foster siblings go near her, she gets spooked but is slowly warming up to them and learning to play. She does not mind cats but can get excited when they run and want to chase them. She’s also met children and loves them!

Snooki likes having her own personal space and loves to have treats whenever she does a good thing, we are slowly working on her tricks and since she a little overweight we are trying to get her to go for more walks. She does not like a collar, so she is harness trained, she cries a bit in the car but then she has a nap when she finally feels comfortable.

Snooki will be a shy girl when she first meets someone new but that won’t stop her from kissing your face off once she gets to know you, she is perfect for someone who has a lot of love to give.

Lucie

From the foster home:

Lucie is a sweet, attentive dog. She is overall quiet and calm: spending days sleeping & barking if people come to the door or when she hears neighbours coming and going. She likes to be near people & enjoys chewing on her antler chew toy. She’s good with a kennel at night & is well house trained. Lucie does okay with children, but would prefer a home with older, calmer kids. In her previous hone Lucie would bump heads with the other dog and would do best in a home without other dogs, or ones who let her run the show. At her current fosters Lucie has not had any trouble when meeting new dogs outside the home. She can be tentative of men at first but warms up quickly. Lucie will require a strong leader who understands her breed and is able to set boundaries, and in return will shower you with love and kisses.

Blue

From the foster home:

Blue is an extremely sweet 7 years young boy. Blue had lived the first phase of life outdoors as a farm dog and is settling very well to the spoiled indoor life. He absolutely loves getting attention and having his fluff brushed! Blue’s favourite activities are naps, chewing on a bone and walks with his besties! Blue loves to play with his furry foster sister and is starting to embrace his inner puppy. He is a little nervous around strangers but is figuring out they can also give the best pets. Blue has not been around cats and we would not recommend them at this time, he would have no issues around kids who know how to respect boundaries as this old man LOVES his naps. Blue is working on his kennel training and loves making his own bed nest in his safe spot. He has embraced indoor life well and is house trained!

Bruno

From the foster home:

Bruno is an extremely sweet boy who wants nothing more than your love and affection (and some good eats!). He's friendly, trusts easily, and will bond with you quickly.

Bruno is a naturally excellent leash walker and has also done very well, off-leash! He has been great meeting other dogs and warms up quickly to new people. He has no noticeable aggression whatsoever (food, other dogs or people) and is a huge cuddle bug. He has not been exposed to kids, cats or other animals while in SDR care.

At home, Bruno is happy to laze around, nap or chew on toys and bones. His foster sister (SDR Alumni) has been teaching him what toys and sticks are for, and how to play fight! He is still working on overcoming some separation anxiety but seems comforted by having another dog around. He likes to lay in his open crate but is still working on his anxiety when he's locked in. He's learning the basic commands but still adapting to living in a home with rules. However, Bruno is eager to learn and eager to please. With a bit of patience and lots of love, he will continue on his way to be the best boy!

Lilly has met both other dogs and cats without issue. She Loves lots of attention and likes to get belly rubs. Lilly caught on to house training with flying colours and hasn’t had an issue with chewing things overnight or during the day. Whoever ends up with this little one will be very lucky to have her.
